Introduction:

Prenatal care is a mainstay of health care system to keep mother and her new born child healthy

If for any reason it’s fundamental rules does not follow properly, many prenatal complications like

Preterm labor,low birth weight ,maternal and neonatal mortality will increase.

The aim of this study is to determine adaptation rate of presented prenatal care in first visit and first trimester in city of Ahvaz and compareit to nationwide standards.

Material and Method :

In this Descriptive Study , 20 health care center in Ahvaz was selected by simple sampling method ,

Then Researchers attended in these selected centers and observe routine prenatal  health cares that was performed in 196 referred pregnant women .

Data was analyzed by SPSS software version 18 .

Results :

Results showed that 88/8% of presented prenatal care at first visit had average adaptation, and 11.2 % had good adaptation .furthermore ,70.4% of presented prenatal care at first trimester   had poor adaptation and 29.6% of them had average adaptation in comparison to national standards.
