Abstract
Background: Needlestick is a term that is commonly used in medical reports to describe needlestick injuries. It is common among medical and health care workers. It refers to any type of accidental skin puncture by a needle or sharp object during medical or nursing interventions. Needlestick injuries are a very common phenomenon in hospitals. The importance of this study is due to the lack of comprehensive precautions, the lack of a vaccine for HIV, and the lack of complete protection against hepatitis by vaccination. It is also due to the educational nature of Imam Sajjad Hospital in Ramsar, the presence of numerous students in various medical fields, and the lack of fluency and inexperience of the students. One of the studies was conducted on hospital health care workers in Zahedan, and the rate of this injury was estimated at 54.6%.
